Hump Day

My friends Jeff and Debi lost someone very important in their lives. Have a toast for Grace when you get a chance.

----------

Chicago Cycling Examiner promotes the Sherman Park Criterium all this week! Register, dudes.

----------

Ordered some new shoes on eBay on Monday. Got them today. The return address on the box was 50something North Ashland. Ha. They fit perfectly...I felt like I had 50 extra watts tonight on the Gem.

----------

Speaking of which, they didn't even make me buy any beer tonight!

Man, I almost went north tonight after work, but decided to rest the lakes. Damn. I would have gladly have had stopped for some High Life. It's only like 90 calories...about the same as Shot Bloks!

Recovery is recovery. Might as well be High Life and BBQ potato chips!

As well as dinner in my case.

Thanks, bro. Tough times right now.

Why is there only 18 cat 4's and 6 cat 3's registered for Sherman Park right now???? What are you waiting for? If you are worried about money, race day fees go up $5. Register now and save that $5 for a post race burrito.

Nice article in the Examiner.

Sorry the crew won't be able to bring the couch to Sherman Park. We're hosting a leg of the Velo City tour in Kenosha, and that was about the only day that we could make it happen.

Good luck though, I'm sure it will fill, and The Black Army will bring home some wins.

Jeff & xxx,

Why is it that there's only a $5 discount on a second race? The norm seems to be a $10 discount or a second race for $10.

Further, the discount is only valid if you pre-register online. As such if one were to decide to race a second time at Sherman Park on a whim (say their girlfriend allows them to do so...) they would a.) not get any discount whatsoever for doubling up and b.)in fact be penalized by having to not only pay the full fee but also a $5 late charge...

Doesn't seem like a good way to encourage people to double up...

Julian, thanks for the feedback...I'll make sure management sees it.
